My sockapalooza pal loves hand painted, so I hope she will like it.
A cup of tea and a chair are waiting on the deck. I'm about to start my pal's socks now. I haven't yet decided about the pattern. It's either going to be Monkey or a leaf pattern from a german website. I have some rounds of 1x1rib left before I have to make up my mind.

I vote for the more unique German pattern. Chances are she'll be the only participant to get socks in that pattern!

Kathinka, I know how hard it is to pick a pattern!! I thought I had one in mind and then I saw another that I don't think I can pass... it's a difficult choice!! The first commenter is right - I bet the German pattern is one you won't find someone else knitting! That will make it very special for your pal. :)
I can't forget to say that your Lily of the Valley purse is SO pretty. Lovely color choice and the applied pieces look really nice.
